I cant tell you how many times I have heard the words " You are such a Martha Stewart" (haha) I just love crafting, diy, painting, sewing, and home decorating. It gives me great satisfaction to look around my house and say " I MADE THAT!"

It's a Bird, It's a Plane, it's...

Wow... We had an action packed week! My parents, brother, sister and her family ALL came to visit it us last week! We had 7 adults and 4 kids squished into our little 3 bedroom house. Not to mention it was SUPER HOT outside! We had a blast. The main reason for everyone coming was to have a double birthday party for Cole and my niece Liz. The theme we came up with was SUPER HEROES!
I looked all over to find the perfect invitations and party decor. I want it to be all the super heroes not just one character, and I wanted it to have an old comic book feel! Well guess where I found exactly what I was looking for... WALMART! I know crazy right, and it was $.97 for each item table cloth, 10 invites, 20 plates, 20 napkins, 4 filled party bags. etc. I was so excited! Other sets I was looking at were $25 or more for everything. Thank you Wally mart!
You know me we couldn't just have a super hero party and call it a day. Each child had to come in a super hero costume. I made the 3 girls costumes, but I found the cutest superman pjs for Cole. I figured he would LOVE wearing them over and over again!

Next was Liz aka "Lizard" We bought $1.50 worth of green satin fabric and tulle, and a $2 white tee shirt. A little wonder under and here is what we came up with.

Kaylee wanted to be Fire Fly. Not sure if that is a real super hero or not but we went with it. $1 worth of red and orange tulle, satin, and $2 tee shirt. Thankfully I had a lot of red material in the fabric box. I made her cape and shorts from that. Here she is...

I saved Abby's for last. I got $1.20 worth of blue tulle and yellow satin. I made her Wonder Woman! Here is our little beauty!
